the electrotechnical skills partnership

tesp

TESP have a huge range of resources available to help those in or coming into the industry.

The below is from the TESP website, please check it out here

The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP) delivers projects to support the industry's skills needs.

We strive to maintain high standards of relevant, valued vocational training; inspire young people to choose electrotechnical careers, support re-training and upskilling, provide useful information about valid career routes and ensure qualifications are robust, rigorous and meaningful. Find out more about our Mission and Objectives

Employer involvement on TESP’s board and engagement with industry employer groups means we continually ensure what’s being developed meets the needs of today’s electrical contractors and those working in the sector.

Please browse Our Work or visit one of the areas below…

Training Routes

TESP has developed a series of recommended training routes to provide clear direction on the right paths to becoming a qualified electrician. Hosted on the Electrical Careers website, the routes are designed to educate school leavers, career changers and those looking to upskill within the industry.

Industry into Education

Attracting and recruiting talented young people into the electrotechnical industry is essential if we’re to secure a skilled and competent workforce for the future. We need to support schools and colleges so they, in turn, can drive young people towards the electrical industry. Can you light up their imaginations?

Industry Approved Qualifications

TESP is working on an ‘Industry Approved’ qualifications campaign which involves developing improved guidance on routes into the industry, which qualifications are recognised or valued, and working with awarding organisations to provide better information for both candidates and training providers.
