NEIL BRIDGEMAN INDUSTRY STORY

Founder & MD of UKES Rail Ltd

 Hi everyone,

My name is Neil and I am currently the Managing Director of a railway specialist electrical company based in the South.

I have been working with electrical installations since I was 16. My apprenticeship was mainly new builds. This gave me a sound understanding of a wide range of circuits and containment systems. I soon found myself running jobs while not even qualified. Looking back this was excellent for my development but not good for the people I worked for as I for sure made many mistakes that went unchecked.

After that I went it alone and subbied my way through until I got a job working in London on social housing and council contracts. I smashed it.

I then went to work for a railway company and in 2010 set up alone as UK Electrical Services (London) Ltd. Soon after I changed e name to UKES Rail in a deliberate attempt to excel in this arena.

I am a huge supporter of proper, four year minimum apprenticeships. I employ apprentices and will continue to do so. I feel as if I am going to continue to offer the best service then I must train the electricians of tomorrow to the standards and ethics I want in my business. I look forward to helping in any way I can.
