Electrical Apprentice Support
Electrical Apprentice Support
The JIB have given permission to share information and help available from them. Please check out some of that information on this page and linked directly to the JIB.
The JIB sets the standards for employment, welfare, grading and apprentice training in the electrical contracting industry. Our members benefit from a ‘one-stop-shop’ which takes care of employment matters, a comprehensive health and benefits scheme and access to markets other contractors cannot reach.
They have support available with courses, tool replacements, employment contracts, sick pay and much much more.
The JIB handbook can be found here https://www.jib.org.uk/jib-handbook.aspx and some of the latest news articles here https://www.jib.org.uk/news.aspx
They have some really great programs to help upskill training for JIB employers and employees. Covered in this latest news article here https://www.jib.org.uk/upskill-your-workforce-with-the-jib-skills-development-fund
They also have a huge resource to help specifically with coronavirus which can be found here https://www.jib.org.uk/coronavirus-hub
If you're an electrical apprentice there's a wide range of information and support available to you. And if you're registered with the JIB, or employed by a JIB member company, there's, even more, to learn about and benefit from!
Our information and resources for apprentices are broken down into the sections below – have a look around to find out more
Ask your training provider if you don't already know. If they don't register their apprentices with the JIB but would like to find out more, you can ask them to contact us, or show them this link.
